Bay views, lush trees, great schools, and a little village all so commute-friendly are just some of the reasons my clients moved from the Peninsula and bought\ a gorgeous house on Skyline, on the ridge of the hills above Montclair Village in Oakland.

During the pandemic, Montclair was one of the hottest neighborhoods in the East Bay for hybrid work and working from home.
Tree-lined Highway 13 makes getting to Silicon Valley a snap. Berkeley is a 5 minute drive, with the flats of Rockridge, Piedmont Ave. so close by. Within 5 minutes they can be hiking in one of the many redwood parks in Oakland.
The area has incredibly interesting mid-century modern architecture mixed with more classing Spanish and bungalow homes — all nestled among lush trees.
The only problem in Montclair is the noise — owls, turkeys, and deer make quite a ruckus!
Residents of Montclair in Oakland love the elementary schools and charming, small-town village culture that brings locals together. It’s a little hillside oasis in Oakland.
Get your car brakes checked: Montclair’s windy, steep roads are legendary!
