Then I met Santos in #SanLeandro . Wowwww. Normally I write a review of a store. This incredible market near all of the Marina Boulevard shops near 880 blew my mind...and needed an entire Reel.

Bales and bales of ingredients used for Indian cooking and other cuisines. Puffed rice! Candied fennel seeds you get as a palate cleanser in gallon-sized bags! Spices in massive bulk bags. Entire cinnamon trees from Vietnam for chai (ok not quite).

Down every aisle, I was more and more amazed. If you love exploring international grocery stores, get down to Santos. It is an incredible culinary adventure!

They may even have the bargain boxes of $25 California Medjool dates left if you hurry.

5 things I learned delivering the #Rockridge News 5 things I learned delivering the #Rockridge News to merchants and apartments on College Avenue today:

1. It's hard to estimate how many copies to leave at the various cafés and the church!

2. People line up at cafés at 10 AM, but it's a perfect time to get your nails done while everyone is having coffee.

3. It is interesting to see how many apartment buildings there are on college, which you might not notice when casually strolling.

4. #TraderJoes being a destination for so many residents of Berkeley and Oakland is such a boon for Rockridge merchants and the overall vibe.

5. Everyone is so friendly!

I believe that since it is so rare to see news in print that people love perusing this 8-page newsletter. So much fun delivering it.
