I’ve helped many buyers who chose to “request a tour” through Zillow. Being a Zillow agent was a really cool way to meet people who were not familiar with an area or who decided to start exploring by visiting one house that caught their eye.

However as of now, Zillow may not be showing all homes available for sale. As a Compass agent, I’m able to show you homes on our system that may not be on Zillow. Plus, I can tap into my vast agent network to try to find homes before they hit the market.

1. We search outside the checkboxes. You say you must have 3 bedrooms. I secretly search for even 1+ bedrooms. Since the public records may be out of date. And while you think you need 2500 square feet, if a property has potential to expand or space that isn’t counted in the square footage, well by looking at the lower end you may find something that other buyers skip over. At a bargain.
2. I proactively connect with other connected agents and listing agents in the area to find you what you want…even before you know it’s available.
3. My clientele are limited so I can put extreme focus and energy on your search and successful purchase.
4. I’m not in a hurry to close a deal. Your timeframe is my timeframe, and as your life situation changes so may your search change. It is all good!
5. You’ll hear my honest opinion. When you tell me about an hour commute and start looking in a location that will add 30 minutes to the commute, you will hear me asking if the view is worth it. And would you consider another location that may also have other transportation options, perhaps with an even better view?

The most successful home buyers engage with a local real estate agent early on in the process rather than you popping into open houses then rushing into a purchase.
